We’ve all been there with job search that caused endless sleepless nights and feeling hopeless to explore opportunities for a better future. I’m so glad to see lots of members are stepping up to offer career advice and even job opportunities to support others. Take advantage of all the social gatherings🍻 during the holiday season to lend a helping hand, OR ask for help if you are in the middle of the job search!

Here are some ideas to help others💪:

  • Just LISTEN and offer emotional support
  • Offer to review and edit resumes or cover letters
  • Provide networking connections
  • Suggest job leads
  • Share your personal career journey to spark more ideas

Here are some ideas to ASK for help🙋‍♀️:

  • Can you take a look at my resume or cover letter?
  • How did you land on this role? What do you like and not like about it?
  • Do you know anyone that I can talk to about this industry?
  • It would be great if you can share any openings that you’ve encounter in your network.
  • What were your tricks for job search?

Would love to hear more stories and suggestions. We also have a great resource center with helpful articles such as five tips to make job searching easier no matter if you’re looking for advice or just want to support others.

A recent study by Eco Business showed that workers who get sufficient daylight see an uplift of up to 40% in productivity!

That's right! Exposing yourself to more natural sunlight (sitting by a window, going for a walk outside, etc.) can have incredible benefits on your productivity and work quality.

So, the next time you're hitting a midday slump, try swapping your 3rd cup of coffee with a few minutes of sunshine! 🌞

Feeling stuck with your job search, or considering a career transition soon? Networking is your best bet to boost your chance to land a new job. And the holiday season is a great time to do so! Try to drop a line in email, social media or even your holiday greeting cards and let your old colleagues know that you’re thinking of them. It’s a lot easier to network now via social media or virtual hangout so you might even be networking while sitting on your couch at home.

Check our tips on how to use personal networks to get a job. Share with us your networking experiences. Have you gotten a job through networking? How did it work?
