Today I'm sharing a find that celebrates workers that bring their creativity to work to find solutions or create new and wonderful things for the business and customers. One job that offers up that creativity possibility are quick service restaurants (QSR). I've found numerous Tik Toks showcasing the secret menu items of many a favorite brand. Here's one I found from DQ on a Blizzard Flavor that looks delicious!
When have you used your creativity at work?
Have ever heard of the concept of Flow? It's the time when you're doing a project or work and your mental and physical movements are so synched that you've lost track of time and are just in the moment of getting shit done. When it happens work no longer feels like work, it feels as if you're just grooving with energy and purpose. I found this video where I think he's just flowing at his job. #motivation #video #advice #TTT
Saw this video of a Postmates' Robot doing a delivery in Los Angeles and it got it me wondering, are gig delivery jobs like Postmates, Uber Eats and DoorDash at risk if these robots prove to be successful? Would you still use their services if they were taking away jobs with these robots and in return lowering their delivery fees? #gig # #deliverydriver #jobsearchLosAngeles #TTT
With the pandemic raging we're lucky if we can order out for food through delivery app like DoorDash, UberEats, Postmates, etc. These gig workers are risking their health by travelling throughout the city or town you live in to bring your food to you. Here's a quick video on why if you don't tip your delivery driver in the app you're going to be eating a cold meal for sure at a much later time than you expected. #deliverydriver #coronavirus #losangeles #foodservices #TTT
The pandemic has upended so much this year for us in the workforce. It's forced a lot of us out of it, forced us to learn new skills and find new industries. It's also forced a lot of us to find new ways to adapt at our jobs. One group of workers that have had to adapt a lot are teachers. I can't imagine what elementary school teachers must be going through to teach little kids online and how to make it engaging. Well I found this one music teacher who is bringing her A game to her little students as our her daughter captured her teaching her music class online. She's an inspiration as her energy is infectious to her classroom. How are you adapting to online work or how would you be certain to bring your A game to working remotely? #workfromhome #jobsearch #TTT
We all have a bad day at work from time to time. Sometimes it's your boss or coworker that's the cause of your displeasure on the job. Other times it's your own fault for what's causing you pain, like this poor fella working at Walmart. When a bady day at work is happening to you, how do you push on through?
With holiday shopping in full swing and toys always being a big purchase, I found this video of a work applying the hair to a doll head. The needle is underneath the head threading the hair onto the plastic. Who, besides me would have a hand full of puncture wounds and blonde synthetic hair coming out of it?
I'm not ashamed to admit that I'm a big fan of Tik Tok. I know you might think it's all dance challenges for teenagers but I've found a different Tik Tok and that's one that celebrates work. Hard working individuals are putting up videos of themselves at work and killing it with some unreal skills, tasty creations and some funny work place disasters. I'll be posting a new Tik Tok selection each Thursday, let me know what you think.
My first pick is this amazing trick by this fork lift operator.
What work skill would you show off on video?
We all have had that one day at work where something happens that was so bad it's almost comical. I remember when I was bus boy and I had dumped an entire tray of water on a customer's lap or go out the wrong door of the kitchen slamming it into a waiter full of plates that was knocked to the floor and covered in food. Being Tik Tok Thursday, I found this bit of workplace disaster something I could relate to:
Do you have a story of a work place disaster that you caused? What happened to you? Me, from the ones I had, I learned to take the drinks off my tray working out to in and always use the right door for the kitchen :). #TTT #deliverydriver #foodservices #interview
