I have been using this site for roughly 7 months, and I have been clueless as to how it actually works until today. In error on my part I made the assumption that I would job posting, but it did not happen that way. I am frustrated to say the least. I relocated so Georgia from Colorado and thought that it would be easy to jump into the employment pool and start working, and with my background being so extensive it would be a matter of days before I started to work. Eight months later I get the tried and true response of (WE DECIDED TO GO WITH ANOTHER CANDIDATE). What do I have to do to get noticed in the workforce???

I accepted a position with my current employer found out during training they misled me into accepting this position I asked if I can go back to my previous role and they won’t let me even though my previous role is available and they are willing to take me back they claim “Business needs” but they still hiring , I’m so upset that they can do this to you and now I want to leave this company after 4 years and I did an exceptional job .

Being blackballed by previous employer. Had three telephone interviews for maint with wastewater and boiler background. All telephone interviews went well, all going for an hour long with water treatment and boiler operations. Had a follow up interview and after that....crickets. No response to calls, text or email. I was wrongfully fired from last job and waiting to go to arbitration with 54+ other employees that were fired after me. Friends have suggested to have another resume made up w/out my last employer. But, how do I delete the current resume that I have in the system. Frustrating to live at a rest stop because CA edd is not enough to pay rent and live on. I just want to work!!

I lost my job of 25 years do to a restructure where I was replaced with someone making half of my salary. It was extremely stressful and physically demanding. I was on salary and working well over my 50 hours. I accepted a new position again on salary and once again was working well over 50 hours. I finally found a 40 position with outstanding benefits and matched my 4-5 weeks of pto/sick time and the hourly rate was excellent. The issue is all employees are allowed one weekend off a month but the head manager is taking 3 of 4 weekends off for her kids sporting events. Mind you my kids are older, but I still have a family and see how this is upsetting the entire staff. It’s been over a year now and it’s not getting better. I never call off but the younger ones use their sick days when their requests are denied. The DM is her buddy. I think HR should know what’s going on but at tge same time I dont want to cause myself problems as this is probably my last job before I retire. She’s a vindictive boss so I feel like she will just retaliate if she knows someone went to HR. Should I suck it up or go to HR and risk causing problems?

I have been trying to communicate with people on this board and my email is not going through. It locks up and I am getting quite frustrated. I'm ready to give up on this board if it continues. #stressful

I was asked to resign as I used some foul language at work. My direct report to Director uses the same language daily and was a referral from the VP and gets away with this. Is this something I should pursue or just move on?
