I get it, work is work and when you need to get paid, you do the job, but I'm not sure I would want to work as a scab. A scab is someone who works for a company while its usual workers are out on strike. Saw this article about recruiting scabs and wondering if YOU'D WORK AS A SCAB? #shareyourthoughts in the comments.

This report shows 2 people (one with even a bachelor's degree) applying to 60 jobs (entry level) each, and both only wound up with a SINGLE interview. Neither understood what is going on, but one thing's for sure, they aren't hearing back from employers.

I have returned to work not a problem. I have had the Pfizer vaccine but we also know some people have died who were fully vaccinated from the RONA. While the Delta variant is running rampant now, I am curious as to what will happen with the Lambda variant. My wife is an internal medicine Doctor and I have a son with his BSN RN degree working Covid-19 ICU units. I can say one thing is for sure, my son is getting burned out working as much as he is. He went up to Presbyterian Hospital in New York City (Manhattan) and worked their last summer.......he and another nurse got a call to go do they went.

Yes, although vaccinated, I am concerned about Delta Variant. Thus the reason I am looking for work from home opportunities.

I used to work at a shop where they sold 🍫Halloween candy, and it went on sale every Nov 1st. I always had a sugar hangover by then, but one #coworker refused to buy candy until is was half price.

What's your favorite Halloween candy and what do you think about candy at work?

  • a) eat it until you can't eat it anymore (and thanks to all the coworkers out there who share)
  • b) wait until it's half price in November!
  • c) I'm a Halloween enthusiast but don't do candy
  • d) too expensive any time of year
  • e) you have a another work story you want to share that has nothing to do with candy

Unions only care about collecting dues. If that isn't happening, the worker is forgotten and they move on to the next victims #shareyourthoughts

If you could do anything in the world as a job, what would it be? Pretend money, location, or logistics were not a factor. Dream big! :)

My dream jobs would be

  • work/volunteer in elephant (and other wildlife) sanctuaries around the globe
  • travel the world and teach children how to read
  • own a GIANT puppy foster home/adoption center paradise
