Be polite and make sure they can multitask and have a friendly personality..thats the main thing..friendly and not arrogant..and if they dont have experience they are willing to learn..someones smile can go a long way no matter the experience or schooling..

To listen why the client is calling and then repeat the reason back to them. Listening is an important tool to apply as the gatekeeper must fully understand in order to help with a resolution.

I have been a receptionist for 4 months now. I like my job well enough, but the workplace can be hostile and there is an abnormally high turn over rate. About 7 girls to be fired or quit in my first 90 days. I dont want to leave unless I go somewhere with better pay and a better environment. I've applied places but gotten no response. I really want to be an insurance agent, but can not seem to get my foot in the door....

I lost my job in February. I sometimes wonder what's going to happen to me. I have been on several interviews but not hired. Due to my back pain from an accident, I need a call center, secretary or receptionist job.

I am a retired English teacher, looking for part-time work, 2-3 days per week, in Denver, perhaps as a receptionist/office assistant/editor, or anything related to the arts #parttime #receptionist
