I need advice on what to do. It's not too much of a big deal at this point since I'm probably just letting my anxiety get the best of me. I submitted my application for the courtesy clerk position at Ralphs with a recommendation from a manager that already works for Ralphs. I got emailed the next day asking to call them for a phone interview/screening. I passed and was told to meet for an interview the next morning at 11:00 am. As soon as I got there, I was told that the woman supposedly interviewing me was in another meeting and that she tried calling me that morning to let me know to come back another time. (I didn't receive any phone calls, voicemails or messages). I was extremely frustrated but luckily I was able to speak with another manager. The interview went really, really well (in my opinion). I feel that I've given every possible advantages that I could over any other candidate. I'm 23 years old (16 yr olds at the very least can apply for this job), I've just recently graduated with a bachelor's degree, I've had over 2 years of work experience that could benefit me for this position at Ralphs. Plus at the end of the interview, the manager shook my hand firmly, gave me a genuine smile and said "I really liked you. You seemed very personable which is what we're looking for. And I'll put in a good word for you and let my boss know." He said they would call me back in a couple of days to let me know if I've gotten the job or not, and I left the interview satisfied and confident. But now it's almost the end of day two, and if I don't get a call back by the end of today, should I call them tomorrow or would that be too soon and make me look desperate? I know the golden rule is to wait at least one or two weeks after the interview. I just need reassurance and positive vibes. I know it's a job at Ralphs, but a job is a job and I NEED this job. What should do? Thanks!
