Soooo. A very good friend of mine just starting dating her coworker. Normally I'd say this is a bad idea, but I don't want to rain on her parade. It's been a long time since her last BF and I don't want to come off as unsupportive.
What do you think? Is dating at work a good idea?

Yes !! Working sure the AM pre-load was a lot of fun; no interaction with the public, laid back supervisors, pressure to make sure trucks were ready, lots of laughing (a few tears), dirty jokes and good team building. Sure, there were days of frustration but they were few as long as issues were addressed.

I loved working there. It was fast paced and hands on. I also had great supervisors!

I've never worked behind the counter of a fast food restaurant but I'm very curious what it's like when a new food item drops and customers rush in to try the new food. For instance, when Popeye's launched their first chicken sandwiches it looked insane to work at one of their restaurants. I bring it up because Popeye's has new Chicken Sandwich that they're introducing.

Pay attention to the route not your phone, pretty cool job if you get a good contractor, out by yourself, on the Rd , I had rural route so 300plus miles a day all over rural west Texas it was great then got traded to a shit contractor and that was the end of my 5 years with FedEx

People often talk about red flags on the job, but what are some green flags? What is a signal that a company is worth staying with to advance your career? 🤔

Here are some good indications:

  • Outcome over hours - your team loves to see your work and praise you for the impact you've made
  • Good communication - you feel empowered to do your tasks after team meetings because of clear action items
  • Inclusive culture - you work in a diverse team that values your opinions and makes you feel a part of them
  • Regular 1:1 sessions - a manager who cares about your progress
  • Feeling challenged - it's a great feeling to tackle a touch challenge that you can see yourself accomplishing
