GoodWill NEEDS workers to help out during the COVID-19 situation. They want to help the community by hiring additional staff and are willing to provide assistance to those in need.

Look at what positions are available here!

Hi Maybel, It doesn't look like they are hiring housekeepers right now, but I did find some other available housekeeping jobs in the area. You can check them out here. You can also search for more opportunities using these steps: 1.Double click on the “Jobs” tab at the top of the page 2.Enter a job into the search field that says “Position” 3.Click on the blue button to search for that position in your area 4.Once the list is up, click on the title of any you are interested in to apply. Let me know if you need anymore help!

I suggest getting a job with a maid service in the area to get experience first, and study up on what hotel housekeepers do - it is different from maid service, but still the same type of physical work.

Here is a training video on hotel/resort housekeeping duties, step by step: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zTChLJ4nMdI

And another from Four Seasons Hotel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AZHOyfx3mU8

Here is a video I found on Hilton Worldwide's Housekeeping Internships: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VqjUNKhWCLw

Aloha. I filled out an online application for a position at the Kahului Maui Hawaii Home Depot. I'm a full time Apprentice Electrician for HNU ENERGY working toward my Journeymen for about 3 years now. I'm trying to get a second part time job here at Home Depot any position would be fine. I can work from 6pm until 12pm Monday - Friday. Need to keep weekends off. Trying to get an interview. I got great customer service & I'm a hard worker with a cheerful attitude. Hope to hear from you & be apart of the Home Depot Team. Aloha

Thanks to the Office of Hawaiian Affairs (OHA), the legislature has passed a bill to reduce the look back period on convictions - meaning people who served their time have a better chance at getting employment. #hawaii #secondchances #record

I received a letter about my PUA saying I need to prove I was affected by COVID. I’ve sent an appeal with the following statement; I was let go from my job around February 2020. I was unable to work because the primary care doctor of the person I was caring for told me her patient was high risk for COVID and immune compromised, because of that the doctor advised me not to leave the house, because if I did I would risk harming her patient and potentially killing him due to COVID exposure. The person I was caring for recently passed away on February 11, and I've since been looking for a job and can give documents for proof, death certificate and proof of looking for employment. #unemployment #pua #advice #hawaii #pandemic

Looks like they've been implementing fixes so people can file for unemployment online. Still requires some patience, but we're getting there!
