My whole career I've worked inside, at restaurants and in stores. I'm only looking for outdoor jobs right now, I don't even care if it's raining. I like being outside. Do you prefer working indoors or outside?

Hello Margarita, if the weather is nice, I enjoy working on the patio. I can enjoy the nice weather. The good weather and sunshine always positively affect me. If the weather is cold or rainy, I prefer to work inside. Currently, the restaurant I work in has a patio, and they have a heater on the outside. If the weather is cold and they can assign me to work outside, I always bring with me cardigans or a sweater just in case because I don't like feeling cold.

Customer service and multitasking are the most valuable skills to work at any restaurant. Sometimes customers can be rude and aggressive, and their behaviors are not personal. I always smile and help them with good manners. In the end, They will thank you, and you will get over this situation without any conflict with them. Being patient is the key!

I’ve been working in a restaurant for about 2 months. I took the job as a way to add some additional income to my retirement. Suddenly when the new schedule came out last week, I was not given any hours. I texted the scheduler and asked if this was an oversight. She gave me one day of work. This week, the schedule came out and again, I was given no hours. I have always had an impeccable work record. I show up on time, I work all day with no breaks. I do not understand this type of behavior. How do I handle this? I get the hint that they are trying to get rid of me, but what a crappy way to do it. Are they trying to force me to Tinder my resignation, so that I would not be eligible for unemployment? Your insights would be greatly appreciated it. I feel like the customers appreciated my work as I received good tips and positive compliments. I’m puzzled as I’ve never been treated this way.

The biggest challenge is working in an unorganized restaurant. Lack of support in the front and back house of the restaurant. When the restaurant accepts customers more than the restaurant can handle, customer satisfaction will decrease, and they will not return. As restaurant workers, if I don't have any support, I'm not able to fix this problem myself. Team and support are very important in the restaurant environment.

I had a great interview at Starbucks, we sat and talked about coffee and even got to try some. We talked about my past experiences and what I learned from working with different teams. Then once I was offered the job I went straight into training. It definitely was one of the most calming, relaxing interviews I've ever had.
