I'm telling you the truth..(Words of Encouragement.)

On the playing field of life you will encounter many different types of oppositions.

Some may cause you to...

No. #1. Bunt the ball so-to-speak. No. #2. Hit a foul ball, are you kidding me? No. #3. Miss the ball completely, hmm, that's strange! No. #4. Even strikeout, to say the least. Now, that's strange.

Whatever you do, don't lose your passion for the game of life. Stay alert, and well informed. Don't ever give-up by "sitting on the beach of life."

Take your best swing for that homerun in life, so, everything else can fall-in-place for you.

Be stragetic about your first job, it may not be your dream job but choose one that will start you off in the right direction towards it.

At a lot of jobs, but especially at Restaurant Jobs, there are always a few staff members who call off or ask to trade shifts very, very often. Sometimes even skipping the part where they call and just simply not showing up at all. This is called a “No Call/No Show”. 😱 😰 🥶

In those situations 🧑‍💼 Managers usually turn to their 🦹‍♀️ A Team 🦸🏻‍♀️of reliable staff to pick up the shifts, or work harder to make up for the loss, and shortstaffing. 💞✨

The main reasons someone would pick up an extra shift are; needing the money or extra hours, wanting to help a friend at work by covering, or wanting to support a manager you like a lot!! 💫 🌟

It feels good to step in when necessary, but often picking up these bonus shifts can cause a strain on your own schedule as well. 💕

Do you mind covering for your coworkers by picking up shifts? Do you often trade shifts you are assigned for different ones? Are you in a situation where your schedule is flexible enough or you need the extra cash?? 💸 😮‍💨 😵‍💫

As someone that has picked up shifts or traded with coworkers, I can say now that it’s was a.) my coworkers lack of capacity to negotiate with their mgr or mine or b.) they did not feel that the mgr liked my co workers to even build a relationship to even negotiate! Which speaks more about the mgr, not really doing the work of making sure new employees get acclimated to their job site 💔

I had no experience but the lady I started out with taught me everything! I loved learning with one person. That way you don't have different people telling you 20 different ways to do it the wrong way!!

I'm telling you the truth..

"Its been said that, a problem usually wins if, a plan doesn’t precede its potential." ~EA Constastine

Please don't let this happen to you.

It turns around when you decide to...

  • Review your previous notes.
  • Set a definite plan in-place.
  • Look beyond the norms.
  • Act in a consistent manner.
  • Deploy your initiatives.
  • Stay attentive to reactions.
  • Capture, collect and commit.

These are the primary steps turning things around to cause the spotlight to shine on you.

Then, everything else will realign accordingly.
