We'd disinfect everything. We also wore masks and enforced customers to wear them as well. Temp checks when you'd get there everyday. Plexiglass was also added for customers to keep a distance from us.

I was terminated after being told to return to work as I was getting over Covid-19, when I found out by the company nurse practitioner that I was type 2 diabetic, the day October 18th 2021,I was a forklift operator for 5 years same job,I was told to return to work with a glucose of 466,they the nurse practitioner didn't care about my safety, so I went on medical leave, on the day my primary care physician released me to return to work, I called my HR department and told them that I was, released to return to work, the HR lady said I was terminated, furthermore when I filed for unemployment benefits, the company gave me the reason for termination was MISCONDUCT, a character defamation, a stain on my professional career, how can big businesses get away with giving people this type of hardship? This happened in Illinois where I work and live in Indiana. Please share my story. 🇺🇸

I worked for the same company for 12 years, I got sick with covid19 and it was like 3 weeks it took me to get past it but I still felt really bad, my doctor released me to go back to work so I did, my 3rd day back my roommate was diagnosed with covid19 and I thought he wasn't going to make it, he almost died but by grace of God he didn't. My boss told me that since my roommate was positive for covid19 I couldn't return to work until I had a negative test results to show him,in the beginning there was a shortage on test's and only people with positive results and 16 days of quarantine time could get tested, it took me a long time to be able to get tested but my boss said I couldn't come back until I had one so when I finally got a negative result (a couple of months later) I went back to work and that first morning back the owner came out of his office and started yelling at me saying I was gone that whole time by my own choice and when I tried to tell him that it was his son my supervisor that told me not to come back he said that I was lying so I said he should talk to his son cause he is wrong and I would go home and come back in the morning cause he had me very upset and I still wasn't feeling 100% he told me to hit the gate and don't bother coming back so I went home and filled for unemployment and I recieved unemployment from the state of Kentucky where I lived and worked for 12 years .I drew approximately $16,000 from unemployment and never had any trouble or heard from my exemployer the whole time and now all of a sudden they're saying that I quite and wasn't fired and Kentucky unemployment is saying that I have to pay all that back. 12 year's at the same job I should have had been able to draw it regardless, now I don't know what to do cause now I have medical problems and can't work, how am I supposed to pay back unemployment benefits when I should have been covered anyways. I don't know what to do, any suggestions?
