I've been working constantly to try to get into the world of tech or film, they are my favorite things in life and I'm very passionate about them. Of course, the downside is my tech knowledge mainly centers on the PC hardware niche, given I build all kinds of PCs from internet browsing to high end gaming. I've spent the past 4 years trying for jobs with no luck. I've been expounding consistently on my knowledge of Computers and began applying when I felt confident enough in my knowledge. Sadly, each application is returned with something along the lines of I can't be hired without an A+ cert or similar. Sadly I don't have $400 lying around to take the test. So, I switched gears to my next goal. I'm very fluent in film and video production, Adobe After Effects, Final Cut Pro X, camera equipment and can easily create my own videography films from scratch through post production. Long story short, does anyone happen to know of any jobs in these areas I can ACTUALLY get a position at? Thank you if you read that extensive novel haha #videography #Computerscience

Hi @Stephen Spencer! I can completely understand your frustration. Maybe you could gain more practical experience and bypass some of the educational requirements altogether. You should look into the job @Naomi Shah just posted. It might be the door you need to help you get to where you want to be. Apply if the job speaks to you! Best of luck!

Hi Stephen, I suggest you start making videos and building out your creative reel. If you have 3-5 minutes of footage that shows off your skills, it will help tremendously! Good for you for following your passion.

I am finishing my degree in a few weeks and I have been looking actively since January but I have ran into the issue that all employers want experience. Now I have years of retail and sales experience but I am finishing my degree in computer science so I want to find a job in the IT field. If anyone had suggestions or if they know of an entry level position in the Phoenix please let me know.

Just a little more information about my job search activity: I have applied for approximately 50 jobs a week for close to 5 months and have only gone on 8 in person interviews and 15 over the phone interviews. The biggest issue people seem to have is that I do not have experience.

Hey, does anyone know of any good part time/ close to full time work in Houston, TX. I spent several years in culinary but recently started school for computer science looking for better pay and better hours. It is getting hard to keep up with the bills in between the GI - bill time frames like summer with just having Uber.

I do not have a attitude to quit or loose. I am a recent graduate with masters in Computer Science. Also I have CCNA. Since last two months I have been trying to look for a job. I almost do like 30-40 applications daily, excluding the quick applies. Out of all I hardly get a call back and at the end I hear we are looking for GC/US citizens. In addition some places I interviewed, I dont know why the process is soo slow. I dont care about the money, I am looking to start my career. I am potential enough to learn quickly, I have good knowledge. What does it take to have a simple job. Some people call me and then I try to follow up but suddenly it seems like they disappeared somewhere. I will still keep trying but the frustration has to come out some or the other way.
