Call and complain to the State Department of Fair Housing and Employment You can also get a lawyer and sue him for discrimination. You have a very good case! #ageism #jobsearch

I am a retiree trying to go back to work so I can keep my house. I have a very nice resume that I aways attach when applying. In this age of racism and ageism, I realize that my very nice resume has been my Down fall. Your resume tells your life history. Very few companies want to hire anyone over 65. Potential employers just follow the dates. Someone 20 years younger with less experience will get the job before I will because I'm older. Older workers are thrown away. We have to live too!

Since relocating to NC in 2019, I have worked on 5 different good paying Jobs and about 25 interviews. What happened to keeping hard working employees? I went to wok everyday and covered for those who didn’t come to work. Yes! I think it’s my age. I am retired social worker, but not old enough for social security. I guess I should have stayed on my job, until social security age. But who knew this was going to happened. #termination #ageism #overworked

I work at a very large retail company who physically abuses the staff so they don't have to pay over time. We had a hardworking night crew until bad management ran off four people in a two month period. We recently got a new lead, but we only have three members remaining on our team and one is not much help at all. The management is working us remaining two to death. We both are 45+ age and leave every morning exhausted and in pain. I am doing the job of three people and when I ask for help I hear "we are cutting over time out". I want to quit but I know if I do that will only leave two people on the team (which one I could careless about). My other co-worker that is also getting abused, the company would only put more on him. I tried to talk him into leaving but he says " he is too old to start over". I take pride in my work and work very hard but my body can't take much more. What would you suggest?

I am a 72-year-old senior that has been unemployed for 2 years as a property management due to covid-19. My question is, do you think that I am too old to go back into workforce? The cost of living is high and too many and paying all utilities it is hard living off just social security retirement.

Check out my post on https://www.linkedin.com/in/evelyn-cannata-8905451b/ about ageism. I see people posting where HR referred to their age and how they can get a job if they are too old. Get a good age discrimination lawyer, and you won't have to worry about getting a job.

Embarrassingly long search for a basic administrative position nearby or (ideally) from home....Though I earned a doctoral degree and all the ancillary requirements to achieve it....I feel as though I'm "aging out" at 51, too "mature" for simpler positions....I chose family over my career, now I'm ready to return....and I CANNOT! I feel so defeated. #jobsearch #ageism
