i am on every job site there is, I look at jobs on linked in, Work in Texas, AARP and I have registered with six temporary agencies. I have applied for so many jobs and maybe been on 6 interviews in a year and 6 months of being unemployed. My unemployment has ended and I have no income coming in. I have worked my entire life to support myself and today I find my mood as a loser. If anyone has any suggestions please feel free to give me some advice. Thank you for listening and reading. God bless.
Can we get money owed to us by unemployment like a year + from now or is there a time limit? When I first got approved for benefits last year the “request benefits links” was not on my account for 6 months. When it finally did appear, January of this year, it did not let me request the weeks that I was unable to claim for those 6 months. I put in so many requests and escalations still nothing…So will this be something that they definitely owe me? Or does it nullify at a certain point.
Starting over isn't a problem with a new job. But starting at a salary that is an insult is problematic. Companies want experience but are taking advantage of the enormous amount of people with experience which are unemployed over 50. The # of interviews are ridiculous along with the multiple people attending the interviews which don't even participate. Decisions are made by committees. I can't wait to retire to get out of the rat race.
